K.I.S.S.

Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One Who is leading. Oswald Chambers

I see so much written in the press, social media, blogs etc... about what's wrong with the Christian church in America. It's fairly easy to "pile on" with the rest and find fault.
In my way of thinking more needs to be done on the personal level. It's not so much what's wrong with "the church", but rather what's up with ME?
Taking Oswald Chambers quote above and applying it to me is my challenge to both myself and to all of us who consider ourselves to be Christ followers.
Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!  If I could wish one thing for the church, it would be that we would simplify our faith lives and just follow Jesus. Rather than stressing over which political persuasion is "right", we just simply need to ask ourselves is this what Jesus taught? Is this how Jesus lived? Is this how Jesus followers should act? Notice below what Jesus plans on rewarding, notice the absence of political stance or theological correctness:
Matthew 25:34-36 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
Back to basics! Follow Jesus! Do the stuff!
In His love,
Pastor Mike
