The Book of Jobs

Recently a friend at work loaned me her copy of Steve Jobs biography. It's been sitting for a couple of weeks on my desk. I tend to have some downtime at work and so I enjoy reading. I like keeping up with my Bible reading, and other faith-based books to help me in my ministry.  Today I started reading a couple of  books and got a few chapters in and lost interest.

I looked at the Steve Jobs book and decided what the heck! 

Within the first 20 pages or so I ran across this quote and it really struck me!

"The juice goes out of Christianity when it becomes too based on faith rather then on living like Jesus or seeing the world as Jesus saw it " Steve Jobs

Wow! Those words coming from someone who was not a person of the Christian faith. Needless to say I plan on reading the rest of the book! I hope somewhere along the way during his life  Steve came to a place of faith perhaps even an unspoken one.

The words of his quote are still ringing in my ears and I plan on making that the focus of my prayer life and meditation for the foreseeable future!
